Hi Dave,
The pedal is WAY cool and I know you're gonna sell a ton of
them!! ....it's a great pedal and I know several guys already who are waiting for it.
Still really digging your flanger too - that thing rules!! Thanks for
letting me try your new stuff!

Hi Dave,
Octron # 8 arrived this morning, Monday. It is such a little ripper.
It was hooked up in series with the Zim>Octron>TZM. The noise level is really low, and no discernable
signal loss. The unit simply powers. The Octave up wails from the seventh fret up. Even pulled finger
plucked octave harmonics at and above the twelfth fret B and E strings( with the ZIM on). Frankly that
was probably ridiculously high, enough to cause grief to a cat or dog. It tracked hammer-ons, pull-offs and
tapping with ease. Octave down, well watch out Stevie Wonder. I decided the technique challenge had to
be met head on. sooo... The tracking was good from the fifth fret G string and up. It tracked well below
that all the way to the bottom E, but a clean signal in is pretty important for the lower stuff. Slight palm
dampening sometimes, helped to keep the fundamental strong and harmonics weak for tracking.. On the
higher stuff it tracked well even with menacing finger vibrato. Got a wonderful sort of funnelly thing happening...
Mixed both up and down in and had lotsa fun. Tried intervals, triads and chords and got some really weird
stuff one might find in a deep pychotics episode. Strange random tracking, ring modulating bellish imbellishments.
It is a great unit Dave. Thanks for your time and the best of luck with your new pedal.

you really have made a better octavia! and it's NOT because you've gotten a
stronger octave that'll sound anywhere on the neck; the foxx tone machine
will take care of that, as well as a number of other things. you've made it
grittier & meaner, but NOT at the expense of the SUBTLETY that makes the
octavia so great! fukk dave, you do realize how great this thing is, don't
you? i am floored. it's EXCEEDED my expectations, & that doesn't happen
often!

this weekend to experiment with effects placement...thanks again for your help!
...are you the first guy to make both a low and high octave, blendable in one unit?
very cool, and sounds wonderful.

Mr. Fox,
I have to express my gratitude...this is such a simple, yet incredibly versatile accessory to have.
I mean simple in the fact that I know exactly what the sound will be like coming out of the Octron
by where I set the knobs with no sound on. I have used the Octron to replace an original Whammy
pedal that I used for a few songs with my band. I simply set the OCT UP for those songs, and hit
the Octron on and off quickly, where I'd move the Whammy treadle to pop up an octave. If you dial
in the CLEAN sound only, and keep it below unity, I can actually use the Octron as a VOL knob.
We play "Hot for Teacher" which as I'm sure you know is the same riff, per se, at different volumes.
No need to do anything but turn the Octron on when I have the CLEAN dialed low, and the UP and DOWN
off, and it drops the volume, yet keeps the tone.
We play another fun tune, called "Get the Funk Out" which is from the '80s band, Extreme.
Fun, funky tune though! It has some doubled lines from bass and guitar, and I now use the Octron
with OCT DOWN only on for that song, and I actually play the same lines as the bass player to start
off the song, while we pump up the audience................
Thanks again, Dave. My wife, friends, bandmates, they've all noticed how much I'm ENJOYING playing
again, and how much I keep playing later into the nites or longer at rehearsals. There's NO PRICE you
can put on inspiration.
Sincerely,
Chris
